The Conversation With Tara Armstrong
Tara Armstrong is a speaker, life coach, and founder of She Shifts Culture.
You may have recently seen her on the Ellen Degeneres Show as a guest due to a video of her going viral. Tara left with a brand new car. Thanks Ellen!
Tara’s expertise is in speaking on topics such as behavior, identity, purpose, achieving joy and taking her audience through sessions of inner healing and development. Tara has the gift of empowering people and putting tools into their hands to achieve their goals.
Tara grew up in Northern California, then made her way to Los Angeles, where she became a fashion stylist and designer. She was a stylist for Nicky Hilton and her works have been featured in People magazine, The Tyra Banks show, ABC Family, LA Times, multiple commercials, magazines, documentaries, and charity events. Tara left the fashion industry to pursue her real passion of helping others through life coaching and founding She Shifts Culture, a space where women can truly be empowered.
Tara has life coached and spoken to many people all over the world from many different backgrounds. She loves to travel, meet new people and give back everything she has learned.
Why did you want to start your business tara?
I started my coaching and speaking business because I saw people suffering. Suffering from things in their past that were still keeping them in bondage and not allowing them to be all that they were designed to be. A lot of people have a desire to change but don’t have the tools to get there. I provide insight to what is going on and tools to get them through it. I started She Shifts Culture as a way to help women, through honest conversations, building community, and bringing in experts to give us tools that will truly empower us.
What is something you're being intentional about in 2019? What is getting your attention?
JOY. In 2019 I am being very intentional about living for Joy. Finding what brings me joy and doing it. Life can be extremely hard and there are a lot of things in life that you can’t control, but I believe that Joy is our weapon to face the hard times. Being on the Ellen show this year brought so much joy not just to me but to millions of people watching. Since then I realized how powerful joy is and try to encourage myself and others to seek days filled with joy in the midst of hard times.
Tell me about a woman who inspires you?
Women as a whole inspire me. We are reluctant, brave, driven, beautiful, powerful, and have the amazing ability to nurture. I would say that when I need a dose of empowerment I think of all the women I have met all over the world living in 3rd world countries who walk miles for clean drinking water, fight to protect their children, rise up in the midst of adversity, go without food so their children are taken care of, work long days for barely any money, and have nothing, but give everything. I’m inspired by them.
What's one of your wildest dreams that hasn't manifested yet but you can't wait for it to become a reality?
One of my wildest dreams is to have my own talk show.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years ?
I see myself married to a very handsome, kind, funny man. (Now accepting applications) :) I would love to have 3 children together. I see myself having my own talk show and continue traveling all over the world speaking and helping people.
Thanks so much Tara for taking the time to do this Interview with us. We can’t wait for you to speak to our community next week!!
Tara will be speaking to our community on July 16 7pm PST. Topic: Breaking free from negative/unhealthy behaviors.
It's time to break up with your negative behaviors. Negative behaviors are formed from things that have happened to you in the past. Tara is going help you identify these behaviors and help set you free. These negative behaviors can be the very things stopping you from succeeding in your career, having a thriving relationship, communicating successfully, and living your best life. We are going to identify the behavior and then break up with the behavior and find its replacement.
