What did your childhood look like growing up?

That’s a deep question! If I am being honest, I don’t remember much of my childhood, at all. My parents split when I was six, and we moved quite often. I lived all over Canada, coast to coast.

I left home at just 15... Some would say I lived a rebellious life. I would say I was broken, lost and full of passion to be free in all things...free to be me... whatever that looked like.

I was searching to find love, belonging and myself. Truth be told, I was looking in all the wrong places... which in turn led me down some pretty destructive paths.

With that said, I believe that life is a journey not a destination. I am who I am today, because of every detail and event in my journey this far. I am grateful to have walked where I’ve walked and to be the woman of courage, freedom, healing and purpose that I am today!

Looking over your life, what has been the most challenging time in your life and how did you overcome that moment?

I’ve had many... but most challenging.... I would have to say, 6 years ago when my marriage was failing with a capital F, and I had a 4 year old at the time. I had no idea what I was doing with my life or who I was. I knew I had a stirring in me, that felt like ‘there is more than this for my life, there's greater things, but yet the feeling began to show up with frustration and disbelief because my life at that time seemed all but great. I hit a wall of realization that ‘ I’m getting divorced, my baby didn’t depend on me at every waking moment for something, which gave me time to be in my own head.

I had raised my baby 80% on my own, felt alone in my marriage, and I didn’t let anyone into my broken and lost world.’ I was depressed and cried in my bed for hours a day and partied my feelings numb... I filled my life with temporary fulfillments all to realize nothing filled the void. I didn’t want my daughter to grow up in a broken home like I did, But I knew I couldn’t live the toxic life I was living anymore.

It all changed for me one night at home, my daughter was in bed sleeping and my husband was in Fort Mac working. A friend had gifted me a bible 3 years prior, and not growing up with God in my life... I let it collect dust for 3 years. I decided to open it and read it. Either God is real or He isn’t right?

Long story short, I had a real spiritual encounter alone in my living room, that left me wrecked for 2 weeks after. Faith... it is the substance of things hoped for, yet unseen. I hoped for healing. How did I overcome? I made my healing a priority, and searched and ran after God to lead and guide me.

I have NEVER been let down. Some amazing people entered my life shortly after and held my hand and heart through it all. Today, my marriage is the best it has ever been and I have God and some very special people to be forever thankful too.

The greatest gift you can give to anyone, including yourself, is your own personal growth.

‘ I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh’

- Ezekiel 36:26

How did you discover your passion for helping and coaching others?

A LOT of soul searching.

It’s taken me a long time to come to the revelation that my biggest desire for me and others was freedom... in turn that is how I lead and respond to people. I lead them to find their freedom. I love seeing hope light up in another's eyes. It fuels me.

I have the gift of encouragement and mentorship. That being said I do not believe in enablement, but in true empowerment. Being an entrepreneur and having been intentionally drenched in personal growth over the last 9 years, has opened doors for me to share on many topics in different settings, influencing many people.

Particularly women. Even in business, you need to do you. You need to grow personally. You need to heal, you need to take the time to reflect. Reflection turns experience into insight. Insight will guide your next blueprint.

Another driving force is my experiences. A lot that I have walked through in my life, most wouldn’t talk about. When I first decided to be vulnerable and share my experiences, it showed others that they aren't alone. It showed me that there is a MASSIVE need. I know what it’s like to feel alone. If it takes my vulnerability to share my life and learnings in order to set someone else free, so be it, I am ALL IN.

What does Jen want to be known for?

Oh man.... Living life to the fullest!

Influence....Passion....Purpose...Freedom....Joy....Love...Contribution.... How can I sum it up..... “Because of you, I didn’t give up”

When I hear those words, my eyes well up and my heart jumps with gratitude. I heard a quote a few years ago and it changed me from the inside out:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are we not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it’s in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

- Marianne Williamson

To be known for living this quote out and empowering others to do the same. That is what I want to be known for.

A life in your shoes looks like...

A life in my shoes.... I wear many! Actually though! I love shoes!

Well, I’m a mom, wife and entrepreneur operating 5 million things at once! I have a very creative imagination and it never sleeps! A typical day for me looks like running my daughter to school and her activities, having my devotional/personal growth time, working my business’s, connecting with my core team of people daily for all of the things personal, business, practical and visionary related! Using essential oils on the daily, loving my fur babies and connecting with my family over their day, possibly cooking food for them! Ha! I do feed them, I promise!

What’s your wildest life dream?

I don’t have just one! I am a serious dreamer!

If I had to pick wildest ... I think it would involve ALL of my favorite people living their lives free in all aspects.

Healthy - Body, Mind, Soul and Spirit. Relationally, Financially. Truly thriving in Wellness, Purpose and Abundance.

Oh the opportunities!! Ah-Mazing!!!!

What advice would you have for other women who are currently pursuing their dreams?

When you make a promise to yourself, show up for yourself! When you don’t quit, you WIN!

Man, I can’t tell you how many times I see people show up for everyone else’s dreams, but they don’t show up for their own!

When you don’t feel like doing the ‘thing’, get up, dress up and show up!! You can do hard things!! YOU are worth it. No, it’s not going to come easy and there will be sacrifice.. It will even hurt at times. IT’S WORTH IT ALL!

Believe in yourself. If you don’t, surround yourself with people who do and who can help you get there. People who love, encourage and support you!

Sink yourself into personal growth at least half an hour a day! Even better: start your day with 15 mins, and end your day with 15 mins!! You will only go as far as you grow!

Get an accountability partner and take responsibility for your dreams!!

How can people get connected with you?

I am on social media networks! I am also up for meeting for coffee!
