Dr. Christine Col has always wanted to help others. That desire combined with her interest in the human body, and her passion for sports, lead her to chiropractic. She obtained her Bachelors in Kinesiology at Brock University before attending New York Chiropractic College to receive her Doctorate.

Dr. Col has a strong interest in treating the human body as a whole and having her patients achieve optimal biomechanical function. By utilizing techniques such as Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, RockTape, McGill Method, and with her experience as an elite level soccer player, Olympic Weightlifter, and student athletic trainer, she has the knowledge and tools needed to get you out of pain, so you can move better and achieve your next goal!

Immediately following graduation, Dr. Col packed her bags and moved her life from Hamilton, Ontario to the West Coast, and landed in North Vancouver, BC. While practicing there for 2 years, she was part of the Simon Fraser University Sports Medicine team. After gaining some great experience in the clinic, and sport setting, she is now living, practicing, and loving her life in Kelowna, BC.

Dr. Col is currently a competitive Olympic style weightlifter, training to medal at the Canadian Nationals. She also relives her glory days as a varsity soccer athlete by playing soccer on weekends. Moving to the West Coast suits Dr. Col’s active lifestyle, as she enjoys hiking, skiing, and being out on the water whenever she can.

How are you growing in new ways?

I am growing in new ways by learning to accept myself for all that I am. I’m no longer trying to shy away from situations or success. I am embracing all that I am and all that I have to offer the world, and letting it grow.

Getting in to a solo-practitioner career has made me really take a step back and look at things from a new perspective. My experience in the last two years of my career has made me realize things needed to grow, and last year and this year I have been really focusing on that.

What is something you’re being intentional about in 2019?

I am being intentional when it comes to my self-talk and energy. Your thoughts become your actions. I am seeing this come true as I am making these changes this year. It is so empowering to have control over that.

The people I surround myself with are also really grabbing my intention this year. In my career and my personal life, I give a lot. I love to support others and watch them succeed, but to find people who are willing to give you that same energy and support is a game changer.

Name something you find empowering or are empowered by.

Feeling 100% confidence in your own skin. The days where I am 100% in love with myself are days where I love every minute of being alive. Those are the days I strive for.

What is something you’re passionate about?

I am very passionate about training in weightlifting. I am going to be competing at the National Level again.

Helping people is also a passion of mine, whether in my office or lending a listening ear, letting others know they are not alone is important. I am also passionate about learning and exploring new things and places. This world fascinates me, and I hope to see all it has to offer.

I’m igniting my wildfire by…

…living in the moment, and embracing who I am. I feel I have a wildfire inside of me, and I want to let the world see it.
