Guidelines for Writing Wildfire Women Blog Articles
Layout should include:
Body (2-3 paragraphs)
Articles should always be in the second person (using you or yours) or third person (he, she, they, it), unless you are providing personal stories within the article. If sharing a personal story, go for it and use first person (me, I).
Break up information using headers, sub-headers, lists, or bullets. Have 2-6 sentences per paragraph.
Feel free to add personal photos to your blog. The team at Wildfire Women can also provide images for your article. Please do not use images directly from the web, as we don’t want to infringe on copyright.
Your article should be limited to 600 words or fewer.
We want to celebrate you, so include a bio of yourself and we’ll share it in the Blog Contributor portion at the end of your article. Your bio can be 150 words made up of:
A brief blurb describing you
Your current job title, position, and/or company
Who you are outside of work (hobbies, interests, family…)
A photo of yourself to correspond with your bio
Provide links to your social media channels
Original Articles: If you are a writer, we understand the time and energy you put into creating blog posts. We value your effort in creating an original post for our site. All rights remain with the author of the post, and we appreciate that all published articles be used exclusively for Wildfire Women and not published on other personal blogs, websites, or other social media platforms.
